ABOUT REIKI

Reiki - Universal Energy or Spiritual Life Force, is a lost, ancient healing tradition that was rediscovered by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early twentieth century.  Reiki is not attached to any religious philosophy but guides Reiki practitioners by the five Reiki principles.  Mikao Usui studied various forms of Buddhism,  found various references to Ki/Qi  and healing in ancient Tibetan and Sanskrit scriptures.

Reiki is a system of energy healing.  It is the disturbances in our individual subtle energy system, through external influences such as stress, pressure, fear, anxiety, worry, loss, pain, negative thoughts and experiences etc. which can impact the physical body and mental and emotional wellbeing.

The transference of energy is channeled through the practitioner to the client by the gentle laying on of hands on the client's body at the main energy or chakra points.  The Reiki energy clears the negative energy and balances your own subtle energy system to enable you to better manage any physical or mental symptoms or to help yourself to overcome any of the external influences as above.

Reiki can also be given through distance Reiki sessions so you can be in the comfort of your own home.

Mind, Body & Soul

The mind, body and emotions are connected.  Each one can affect the other.  During a Reiki treatment, the energy flows throughout the body - cleansing, detoxifying and balancing the energy within the body.  The Reiki energy holistically helps  re-align what is at dis-ease within the mind, body and emotions.

The Chakras & the Endocrine System

The Chakras are considered the Energy centres corresponding to the different parts of the body. - Crown, Third Eye, Throat, Heart, Solar Plexus, Sacral and Root. It is at these same points where the Endocrine Glands are located - Pineal, Pituitary, Thyroid, Thymus, Pancreas, Adrenal and Reproductive. Disturbances in the subtle energy can translate into physical symptoms associated with the corresponding glands.
